General Questions

1. How much is shipping?

To check shipping, add the item(s) you want to your cart. At the bottom of the shopping cart page, enter the zip code of the address you will be shipping to and click calculate.

2. How do I check the status of my order and get the tracking number?

We send status updates and tracking numbers via email. Usually if you have not received your shipping email, it has been blocked by a spam blocking service or it may be in the junk email or spam folder of your email box. If you have a spam blocker installed please make sure to allow emails from support@buywatchwinders.com.

The status of your order can also be looked up online on our Order Status page.

3. Are all products in stock?

Yes, most of the products on the website are in stock and ready to ship from our warehouse in Southern California. Some models of our Wolf winders are shipped directly from the manufacturer and will take a few extra days to process. Sold out items are marked and cannot be ordered.

4. When will my order to ship?

Orders are usually shipped out within 24 hours except on weekends. All orders placed before 8AM Pacific time will ship the same day otherwise they will ship on the next business day.

5. When will my order arrive?

For USPS priority, it will usually arrive in 1-3 business days but it is not guaranteed.

For UPS Ground, it will usually arrive in 1-5 business days. For residential locations, UPS will deliver Tuesday-Saturday and for business locations, UPS will deliver Monday-Friday. Please refer to the chart below for ground delivery times.

For UPS air shipments, depending on the service chosen it will arrive in 1-3 business days. UPS air shipments are only delivered Monday-Friday; we do not offer Saturday delivery service. If you are not sure please Contact Us to get the exact date of arrival.

6. What is the warranty on these products?

All of the winders we carry come with a warranty.

7. What is your return or exchange policy?

Please refer to the Shipping and Returns page for our return/exchange policy.

8. Do you accept checks or money orders?

We do not accept checks or money orders. We currently accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and Paypal.

9. Do you ship to APO/FPO addresses?

We currently do not ship to APO or FPO addresses.

10. Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to the US and Canada.

11. Do you have a printed catalog?

We do not offer a print catalog but all items we carry are listed on our website and updated daily.

12. Why was my credit card charged multiple times?

This usually happens when a transaction is declined because of an incorrect address, cvv code, or expiration date. When a transaction is attempted, a temporary authorization may be placed on your card. This occurs when our payment processor is testing to confirm that your credit card account is active and has credit available to accommodate transactions. This can happen with each attempt. If you were declined four times, you may see four temporary authorizations on your card.

There is no need to contact us about these temporary authorizations.

  • If your order was declined, this temporary transaction will be removed within 1-5 business days after it first appeared. ATM debit cards with a Mastercard or Visa logo sometimes take longer than regular credit cards to remove the transaction. For this reason, we recommend using a regular credit card when purchasing online.
  • If your order was not declined, this temporary transaction will become an actual transaction amount when the transaction settles.

You should be aware that all temporary authorization charges will temporarily reduce the account's available credit by the anticipated amount.

For more information, please contact your bank or credit card company about how temporary transactions work and affect you as a credit card holder.

13. Are you an authorized dealer?

Yes, we are an Authorized Dealer for all products that we carry.

Watch Winder Questions

1. What type of watch needs a watch winder?

The watch winders that we carry should be used for automatic watches only. Other watches such as kinetic, battery (quartz) operated, or manual watches should not used with a watch winder.

2. What is the correct setting for my watch?

All automatic watches have different TPD requirements but on average most automatic watches need a minimum of 650-1200 TPD. All of our watch winders are set to accommodate this minimum requirement.

To find the right setting for your watch we recommend the following procedure:

1) Manually wind the watch by turning the crown 20-30 times. The watch winder will not wind a completely dead watch.

2) Set the winder to the lowest TPD setting and bi-directional rotation. Place the watch in the winder and make sure it is seated properly and securely in the holder.

3) Turn the winder on and periodically check to make sure the time is correct. Most automatics have a maximum of 40 hours of power reserve when fully wound so if the time is correct after 2 full days, this is the proper setting for your watch.

4) If the time is incorrect, please set it to the next highest TPD setting and try again.

5) If the time is incorrect, please set it to clockwise only and try again.

6) If the time is incorrect, please set it to counter-clockwise only and try again.

7) If the watch works while it is being worn but does not work in the winder, it may need to be serviced. When a watch is worn, the movements it experiences are not as smooth as in a watch winder, so while a watch may work when its worn it may not work when in the winder. Watch winders move very smoothly so if the lubrication inside the watch has congealed from not being in use, the watch may need to be serviced.

3. Which watch winder do I need for my automatic watch?

All of the watch winders we carry are designed to wind all brands of watches so every watch winder we sell will work for your watch. The choice comes down to how many watches you would like to wind and the design, but all of the winders we carry will work for all models of watches on the market.

4. Do you have a copy of the manual for my winder?

5. How long do I need to wind the watch or how long can I keep it in the winder?

We recommend leaving the watch in the winder at all times when it is not in use.

6. Are the motors silent?

Yes, our motors are silent but we suggest that you place winder away from your head while you sleep. If you would like to keep it near where you sleep, we suggest purchasing a winder with a cover.

7. Do you have watch winders that are battery powered?

Yes, we carry battery powered watch winders. All of our battery powered winders are currently single and double watch winders so please check our Single Watch Winder and Double Watch Winder categories.

8. Do you have a watch winder for a Seiko Kinetic?

Seiko kinetics will not work in a regular watch winder. Seiko kinetics usually last up to 6 months on a single charge and usually do not require the use of a winder.

9. Problem: My watch does not keep the correct time.

If you have already tried going through all the steps in in question #2 above, your watch may need to be serviced or the watch winder may be defective and need to be serviced. Please contact us for more information.

Watch Band Questions

1. Do you have a watch band for a certain brand watch?

Currently all of our watch bands are sold by width. We do not carry specific watch bands for specific brands but all of our watch bands are high quality replacements for all brands. To replace your watch band please measure the current size of your watch strap and purchase the equivalent sized watch band.

2. How do I check what size I need for my watch band?

Measure the width of the watch band at the point it is attached to the watch. Usually watch bands are attached to the watch lugs using a spring bar. Please measure the width between these lugs and convert it to millimeter using the chart below.

3. Do you have longer or shorter length watch bands?

We currently carry standard watch band length of 7.5 inches. We will be adding shorter and longer length watch bands in the future. The watch band length is the sum of both watch bands lengths added together not including the buckle.

4. Do your watch bands include the buckle and spring bar to attach to the watches?

All of our watch bands come with a standard stainless steel buckle already installed. If you wish to have another color buckle, we sell them separately at our "Watch Buckles and Deployments" section. Our watch bands do not include the spring bar because different watches require different size spring bars and are not universal.
